Chapter 13

Fawaz: "You have to sleep now, you have to wake up early morning." He stated, I secretly thanked god he forgot about our previous mini fight.
Jazi: "Why?" I asked.
Fawaz: "Because you have to wake me up for work and prepare breakfast." He replied.
As you see, I have no job! I was forced to marry him at the age of 19, I only had a few years left to finish university. I was a good student, but in the words of my loving husband, "Women belong in the house and kitchen, not in business."
Jazi: "Enshallah." I sadly said, my usual reply.
I then wore my nightgown, set the alarm for 6:30 and went to sleep.
At exactly 6:30 am the alarm rang which meant I have to get up, great. I went to Fawaz's side of the bed to wake him up. I gently shook his shoulder to wake him up.
Jazi: "Fawaz, please wake up, it's time for work." I whispered.
Fawaz: "Go away or I will not hesitate to hit you." He threatened me. He makes me feel as if I'm the one who needs to wake up, not him.
Jazi: "I'm going to go prepare breakfast, don't say I didn't wake you up." I said as I headed toward the bathroom to finish my business.
Fawaz: "Jazi! Come here!" He called out.
Jazi: "Yes?" I replied, thinking of anything wrong I did that he may use against me.
Fawaz: "I love you." He blurted out. Okay, I seriously didn't expect that, he's adorable sometimes.
Jazi: "Me too." I genuinely smiled. I headed down to make breakfast.
Fawaz: "Don't make breakfast." He told me.
Jazi: "Why?" I was confused.
Fawaz: "One of my colleagues is bringing us breakfast." He replied as he went to get ready for work.
